OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
As Michigan slowly reopens for business, COR Golf Fitness is excited to be able to offer our community a way to stay fit and continue to progress towards your golf and fitness goals. Of course, our priority is to make sure everyone is staying healthy at the same time. Following are the measures we are taking to be sure we are operating in a safe and responsible manner.
How will you comply with social distancing requirements?
COR's model of small-group and online training makes it easy for us to more readily comply with the social distancing requirements. We are further restricting our in-person class sizes, to ensure athlete and trainer safety, to no more than 6 athletes per session. At the same time, we ask that all our golfers be respectful of the personal space of everyone else and keep an appropriate distance.
What kinds of virtual training do you offer?
For anyone in an at-risk group or who is simply not comfortable training in a group environment yet, we will continue to offer virtual classes for the foreseeable future. Check our schedule for times.
Are there other options for training?
You are always welcome to talk to us about private training sessions. Additionally, we are happy to work with golf teams to develop custom training plans that can be executed in-center, outdoors, or virtually.
How are you keeping training centers clean?
First off, we ask that upon entering any of our indoor training locations, everyone wash their hands well or use hand sanitizer. We wipe down frequently-touched surfaces in all areas to ensure cleanliness. We have added time between classes to give trainers the opportunity to clean after each class to ensure that you are entering a safe environment when you come in to train. At the end of each day, we clean thoroughly.
Additionally, during in-center training sessions, we are asking our golfers to help out by wiping down everything they touch when they finish using equipment.
Are you screening golfers before training?
When golfers arrive at a group in-person session we check athletes' temperature, have them clean their hands, and guide them to a designated spot while we wait for everyone to arrive.
Of course, it goes without saying that if you are symptomatic in any way, please stay home. Additionally, we would request that you stay home if anyone in your household is symptomatic or you’ve had close contact with someone who has recently tested positive or has traveled out of state.
What about masks - are you requiring them?
Cloth face coverings can add a layer of protection, given that COVID-19 can be transmitted by people who are not showing any symptoms and don’t know they are infected. Our staff will always wear masks when leading an indoor training session, and we ask that our golfers do as well as required by the facility. We have masks available upon request.
Is there anything else I should know?
While things have improved locally, we’re not out of the woods yet, and the situation may change in the future. Please follow us on social media to stay up-to-date on the latest news. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call us at 248-444-7602. Thank you for your support of COR Golf Fitness!
